The Redding City Council has approved an updated General Plan, but not without some opposition. The General Plan will help determine what Redding looks like in 20 or 25 years. It’s a broad, comprehensive, long range guide for future development that’s only updated every 20 years. Some members of the public at Tuesday night’s meeting had various complaints about the plan, including environmental concerns. Approval came on a 3 to 2 vote, with Michael Dacquisto and Mark Mezzano voting against it. The final document can be viewed at cityofredding.gov/generalplan.
