City Leaders Gather For The 38th Annual State Of The City Lunch On Tuesday

“Transforming Redding Together: Every Role, One Goal”. That was the theme of the 38th annual State of the City Lunch Tuesday at the Redding Civic Auditorium. The sold-out event brought together community leaders, business owners, and residents to hear the latest updates on the City of Redding’s economy, growth, and vision for the future. Chamber President Todd Jones set the stage with opening remarks saying “When people want to live here, talent attraction, visitors, businesses, and prosperity follow.” Mayor Jack Munns followed by thanking city staff whom he said keep Redding running behind the scenes. In his speech Munns championed several areas like homelessness, philanthropy, media, faith and city leadership. He also spoke about victories like the upgrades currently underway at the Redding Airport, the Redding Sports Park, the new Entertainment Zone Downtown, and the new Amazon Facility coming soon at the Stillwater Business Park. The entire speech will be available soon on the City of Reddings YouTube Channel.
