Cleanup Crews Remove 30,000 Pounds Of Debris From Homeless Camps In The Past Two Weeks

The Redding Police Community Work Program has been busy clearing debris from homeless camps. 30,000 Pounds has been hauled away in the last two weeks, for a total of nearly 253,000 Pounds since the start of the year. Cleanup is done with labor from the Shasta County Alternative Custody Program. Recently cleared sites include along Highway 273, the A.C.I.D. Canal near Juniper School, areas along Hartnell Avenue and beneath a number of bridges on Westside Road.
