Community Input Is Key As City Updates Its General Plan

The General Plan for the City of Redding is in the process of being updated, and the city wants to make it as transparent and accessible as possible because it will help determine what Redding looks like in 20 or 25 years. The General Plan is a broad, comprehensive, long range guide for future development. The update is only done every 20 years, so this is a document that will carry weight well into the future. A General Plan info room is being set up in the Community Room next to the Council Chambers at City Hall. The first informative session will be held Wednesday from 5:15PM to 6:30PM. There will be a half-hour presentation followed by an opportunity to ask question and make comments. Information is at cityofredding.org/generalplan.
