Construction begins Monday on a nearly 2.5 Million Gallon potable water tank to serve Shasta Lake City. The tank is being built at the corner of Lake Boulevard and Kennet Road, which is at the top of the hill at the turnoff to Centimudi Boat Ramp. Work will continue Monday through Friday in the daytime until the anticipated completion in March of next year. There will be occasional detours and delays of up to 15 minutes. Shasta Lake Public Works officials say the tank will provide much-needed water storage for residents of Shasta Lake. Funding is coming from $6.3 Million of Carr Fire recovery money administered by the state six years ago.
