Construction Worker Jailed For Assault

A fight between two construction workers landed one in the hospital and the other in jail. Last Friday Tehama County Deputies were called to a job site in Gerber. 37-year-old Benjamin Dannecker of Corning had reportedly attacked a 32-year-old Redding man and knocked him unconscious before fleeing on foot. Deputies were told that Dannecker was wearing a bright neon green t-shirt. He was arrested in the parking lot of a gas station after ditching the green shirt and donning a black t-shirt he had bought with a picture of two rap stars and the words “America’s Most Wanted”. He was booked into jail for felony battery with serious injury. At last word the victim was hospitalized in serious condition.
