Rain has moderated behavior on many of the fires burning in the Northstate, and allowed firefighters to strengthen containment lines.
The Dillon Fire off Highway 96 south of Cottage Grove is now 71% contained after burning more than 12,000 acres.
The Blue Fire northwest of Blue Mountain south of Seiad Valley is more than 3,600 acres and 18% contained.
The Log Fire northwest of Sawyers Bar is 1,169 acres.
The 726 acre Root Fire a few miles west of Castle Crags is now 87% contained. It was caused by an escaped campfire last Monday.
