The body of a man who apparently drowned in the Sacramento River north of Woodson Bridge last month has been recovered. 54-year-old Tad Gene Harris of Corning was swimming in the river the afternoon of September 15th when he was seen going under and did not resurface. A search team, including a Tehama County Sheriff’s Boat and a CHP helicopter, searched until dark and then kept searching the next day but could not find Harris. This week his body was found about a hundred yards downriver from where he had last been seen.
