An Anderson murder victim has been identified by the Coroners Office. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched at 9 O’clock Friday night to El Rio Estates on Riverside Avenue. They found 64-year-old Teri Bigoski Mares deceased, apparently as a result of being shot. Another woman had been assaulted and was hospitalized and later released. The Sheriff’s Office has not released information about a possible motive. 30-year-old Crystal Ann Odom, a relative of both victims who had lived at the home, was arrested Saturday at a Hilltop Drive hotel. She reportedly admitted to the killing and the assault and is being held without bail following her arraignment Wednesday.
