An Anderson woman suffered very serious injuries in a freak accident at Anderson River Park. On August 17th, Ashlee Robinson and her two young kids were riding their bicycles in the wooded area of the park when a large branch fell from a tree and crushed Ashlee’s chest and spine. Some teenagers who were fishing nearby heard the crack of the branch and went to investigate. They pulled the branch off of Ashlee and got medical help for her. She’s undergone surgery but has a long recovery ahead of her from spinal injuries. A fundraiser with tacos, cotton candy and a jump house will be on West Center Street this Saturday from noon to 4 and a fundraising spaghetti feed will take place at Becca’s Cafe in Anderson on September 8th.
