The Redding City Council has renewed its contract with the Economic Development Corporation of Shasta County for consulting services. EDC President Todd Jones told the council good things are happening in Redding and Shasta County, with several businesses in escrow at the Stillwater Business Park. Jones says the EDC is also working with the airport to bring more service to Redding, including direct service with United to Denver and Las Vegas. The contract with the city will cost $161,000 a year for the next two years.
