A house fire in Cottonwood spread to vegetation Tuesday. The “Vista Fire” started at around 1 O’clock on Foothill Vista Drive. The house suffered significant damage and the fire burned around an acre of vegetation as well.

A fire along Interstate Five near Hooker Creek Road in Tehama County was stopped, partly thanks to a previously cut fire break. It was held to 1.3 acres.

A fire northeast of Shingletown started Tuesday night in heavy slash left behind by clearcut logging operations. The “Thatcher Fire” was burning off Four Hundred Road near Thatcher Mill Road. It was held to around an acre.
