A home just northeast of Redding was destroyed by fire overnight. Cal-Fire and assisting agencies were called a little before 6 O’clock Tuesday night to Old Alturas Road just west of Old Oregon Trail. They found a mobile home fully involved in fire. Both occupants had made it out safely and are being assisted by Red Cross. The fire was knocked down in about a half hour, with extensive mop-up. The cause is under investigation.
