A vehicle fire overnight was contained, despite a threat to a motel. A little before 2AM an SUV was fully engulfed in flames while parked under the front awning next to the office at the Motel 6 on McMurry Drive. Anderson Fire and Cal-Fire responded and prevented the fire from spreading to the building.
There was a small fire Wednesday night at South Redding’s Capri Motel on Westside Road. Redding Fire Department responded shortly after 9 O’clock and found light smoke coming from a second story room. The fire in the back of the room was quickly extinguished.
