A house in the Shingletown area burned to the ground overnight. Located on Squaw Springs Road, the fire was reported at around 10PM Thursday night. By 10:30PM the home had completely burned down. Neighbors told firefighters that an elderly woman lived there alone. It’s not known if she was found to be safe.
In the Shasta Lake City area, a large travel trailer burned up Thursday. Located on Roxie Lane off Union School Coad, the large 5th wheel trailer was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. They kept the flames from spreading to a nearby barn.
