A fire in North Redding briefly prompted evacuations Friday morning. It started just after 9AM in the frequently fire plagued Lost Lane area to the west of the North Market Street Sulphur Creek Hill. When the fire began to creep uphill toward homes on Barbara Road, residents were told to get out. The fire was held to around three-quarters of an acre. The cause remains under investigation, and it’s considered suspicious. Another suspicious fire burned about three-quarters of an acre off of Quartz Hill Road less than an hour earlier.
