The 21,057 acre Butler Fire in the Six Rivers National Forest is 86% contained. There’s been an increase in activity on the fire as interior pockets of vegetation flare up. Ground crews and water-bearing helicopter have been focusing their attention on nearly vertical terrain on the the southern edge of the fire. A Red Flag Warning continues with widespread lightning and strong winds.
