Containment lines have been wind-tested by recent weather and are holding well around the perimeter of the 19,022 acre Green Fire on the northeast edge of Lake Shasta. The fire is now 89% contained. The focus is now mostly suppression repair to help the forest toward becoming healthy again and provide a home for returning wildlife. Around 500 personnel remain assigned to the Green Fire. Crews continue to remove a lot of equipment to make it available for other fires. Evacuation orders have been reduced to warnings. The temporary flight restriction has been lifted.
