A fire started just before 11 O’clock Wednesday morning in grass and brush off Placer Road west of Centerville near Dorenda Lane. It was held to around 2.5 acres.
There’s still activity on the Big Cliff Fire southwest of Etna, though the perimeter has not expanded. It’s 41% contained after burning 963 acres. Crews have kept the fire from spreading beyond established control lines.
Suppression repair continues on the 19,022 acre Green Fire on the northeast edge of Lake Shasta, which is 99% contained.
It’s all mop-up and patrolling for hot spots continues on the 21,058 acre Butler Fire between Forks of Salmon and Orleans Mountain, which remains 96% contained.
The Clark Fire, located near railroad tracks in the Pit River Canyon north of Little Valley in Lassen County, has burned 51 acres and is 75% contained.
