Crye Accused Of Withholding Money From Schools While Pitching Personal Contracts For Ninja Coalition

Some serious implications were made at Tuesday’s Shasta County Board of Supervisors meeting. Tim Garmin shared an email from Schools Superintendent Mike Freeman saying he was uncomfortable with Kevin Crye making important budget decisions for the schools while simultaneously pitching contracts to those same schools for his Ninja Coalition Youth Fitness Programs. Garman suggested that it was an inappropriate position forced upon the Superintendent. Also, an agenda item that was moved from the consent calendar and approved on a 3 to 2 vote transferred budget amendment power for some school programs from the Administrative Office to the Board of Supervisors.
