A food drive to benefit elderly residents is underway by the Shasta County District Attorney’s Office. The drive is being done to mark Elder Abuse Awareness Month. Non perishable food gathered will be donated to Dignity Health connected living for distribution to seniors in the area in order to fight food insecurity. The effort continues through June 17th, and drop off locations include the DA’s Office on West Street, Smokin’ Joe’s Barbecue on Airport Road, Connected Living on Mercy Oaks Drive and Child Support Services on Park Marina Drive.
