The Boise Fire remains at just over 12,900 acres, now with 43% containment. It started August 9th near the town of Orleans in Humboldt County. Despite getting an inch and a half of rain, the fire remains active. Crews are trying to gain access to the fire’s edge as many previously used roads have become impassible from the rain. The Six Rivers National Forest and part of the Klamath are closed to the public. A number of evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect.
