A building caught fire near Jones Valley Monday afternoon. Located on Christian Way off Bear Mountain Road, a 1000 square foot detached garage was about half involved in fire when crews arrived a little after 4 O’clock. The fire spread to about a half acre of vegetation and produced a large smoke plume before it was brought under control.
