An announcement about a new airline flight out of Redding was saved for Tuesday’s State of the City Luncheon. The event at the Civic Auditorium drew a packed house as it was held for the first time in several years. Mayor Tenessa Audette revealed something that had been hinted at by several officials in recent weeks. Next Summer United Airlines will start offering a flight from Redding Regional Airport non-stop to Denver. The airport recently lost a flight to and from Burbank.
