The League of Women Voters will host a lunchtime talk at the library Tuesday by Shasta County District Attorney Stephanie Bridgett. The topic is a voter initiative called the “Homelessness, Drug Addiction and Theft Reduction Act” that will likely appear on a statewide ballot next Fall. Bridgett will also discuss how the DA’s office handles complaints concerning the Brown Act, the state’s open meeting law for public agencies. The free presentation will be in the Redding Library Community Room at noon Tuesday.
