A large shipment of Pot from Corning never got off the ground. On Monday Corning Police revealed an investigation that began August 14th with a call from the Dollar General. The store apparently serves as a drop off and pick up location for delivery services such as Fed Ex or UPS. Sometimes such alternate locations are preferred by shippers who want to avoid scrutiny. Four large boxes had been dropped off preposted and addressed to different places, and before they were picked up employees noticed they smelled like Pot. Police got a search warrant to open the boxes and found 88 pounds of processed cannabis. A lead on the person who dropped off the boxes led only to a local business that’s permanently closed.
