A house in Trinity County was destroyed by fire on Monday. Douglas City volunteers, Weaverville Fire Department and CalFire responded at around noon to the ranch-style home on B-Bar-K Ranch Road in the Douglas City area. Firefighters arrived to find the multi-story structure already fully engulfed in flames. Water was pumped out of the partially frozen Browns Creek to help extinguish the flames and keep them from spreading up the steep brush-covered hillside behind the house.
