It’s that time of year to get flu shots. The vaccine causes antibodies to develop about two weeks after vaccination, so the CDC recommends getting the flu shot before the end of October. Standard flu shots are being provided at no charge during a drive-through clinic this Saturday the 14th from 10AM to 1PM at 2650 Breslauer Way in South Redding. Pre-registration can be done at shastaflushots.com or myturn.ca.gov or 1-833-422-4255. Those who can’t make it to the drive-through clinic can still get a free shot by making an appointment at 225-5591.
