A police chase overnight north of Redding ended with a major injury crash. A silver Infiniti sedan was being pursued north on Old Oregon Trail shortly before 2AM. The pursuing officers lost sight of the speeding car near Admiral Lane and Sheriff’s Deputies were preparing to lay out a spike strip at Holiday Road when a resident reported a car had crashed in front of their home on Jacrene Lane, which is a little south of Union School Road. The driver was transported to a hospital with major injuries.
