The CHP is reporting that two men were killed in a crash very early Thursday morning on Highway 299 a few miles east of Bella Vista. Emergency crews were called at 2:15AM after receiving an iPhone crash notification. Responding personnel found a vehicle about 40 feet off the roadway overturned in the bed of Salt Creek near Blue Sky Road. The CHP says the two men in the vehicle were found dead inside the vehicle. The CHP said the car was likely heading east on Highway 299 when it hit the guardrail and flipped over the bridge. The CHP is investigating, but officers believe speed was a factor. The identities of the deceased are being withheld until family is notified.
