February Trial Date Set For Cal Fire Captain Accused Of Child Molestation

After two-and-a-half years of delays, a trial date has been set for a Cal Fire Captain accused of child molestation against multiple victims. 39-year-old Peter Mock was arrested in July of 2022 at the Big Bend Cal Fire Station. He was initially charged with 74 counts of sexual abuse against a child under the age of 14. Four months later Mock was arraigned on an additional count of the same charge after another alleged victim came forward. Additional charges were filed last May involving a third child under the age of 14. On Monday Mock had a court appearance to be arraigned on one more count of lewd acts on a child under 14. A settlement conference is set for January 6th, with a trial set to begin February 11th. Mock has denied all the accusations against him and remains out of custody on $250,000 bail.
