A small fire burned in Siskiyou County Thursday, according to the sheriffs office. Forward progress was stopped on the Bear Fire quickly. It started on the deck of a home and spread to vegetation covering about two acres near Tom Young Road and Long Grade Road in the Pondosa area. The cause is under investigation.
