Fire Crews Contain Numerous Fires On Tuesday

A number of various types of fires hit the area Tuesday.

A fire was stopped north of Red Bluff Tuesday. Located near Jelly’s Ferry Road and Spring Branch Road, the Jellys Fire broke out at around 11:30AM. Cal-Fire/Tehama County Fire stopped the forward progress at around 20 acres.

At around 2:30PM there was a garbage truck on fire in Millville. The Waste Management truck was on fire near Millville Plains Road and Highway 44. The driver has the fire nearly extinguished when firefighters arrived.

A fire started around 11:30AM off Gas Point Road near Sleeping Bull Drive and Lone Oak Way. It burned about a half acre of grass and light brush.

Shortly before 4PM a vegetation fire was held to less than an acre next to Cottonwood Creek near Bowman Road and Main Street.

At 6:15PM Tuesday night a car became fully engulfed in fire on North Market Street near Hinkles and Weinershnitzel. Traffic was detoured while Redding Fire Department extinguished the flames.
