A fire in South Red Bluff burned up multiple farm vehicles and a structure Tuesday. The fire broke out near the cross of Rawson Road and Flores Road. The fire spread to surrounding vegetation, but forward progress was stopped at around a quarter acre. Ground crews were assisted by a water dropping helicopter.
The Tehama-Glenn Unit of Cal-Fire battled a fire in the Elk Creek area of Glenn County Tuesday. It started off Highway 162 near Road 307. At last word the fire had burned 89 acres with 30% containment.
A vegetation fire Tuesday off Radio Lane between Shasta County Public Health and Juvenile Hall was held to a spot of about 100 by 100 feet.
