A Redding performing arts center was damaged by fire Wednesday morning. Axiom Repertory Theater is located in the same large building on Bechelli Lane that houses Country Bowl, Liquor Barn and some other businesses. Redding Fire Department was called shortly after 5AM and extinguished a fire inside the theater. They then got the sprinklers shut off and set up fans to help clear the smoke from the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
