Quick action by the staff of a residential care facility likely saved some lives on Sunday morning. A neighbor saw the fire quickly spreading on the exterior of the home located on Carolee Court and notified staff who were able to get the five residents out safely. The two alarm fire caused significant damage to the home, according to Redding Fire. Medics and police were also dispatched to help with traffic control and any injuries, which luckily were not reported. The fire caused $300,000 worth of damage to the home and $150,000 to the contents.
