Fire broke out early Thursday morning inside the building that used to house the Redding Record Searchlight. The fire was confined to the interior of the 40,000 square foot building on Twin View Boulevard. The damage is estimated at a Half Million Dollars. The cause is not known as the building has been vacant for some time but has been plagued with break-ins.
