Right in the middle of tax season, a fire struck the Bechelli Lane building housing H&R Block Friday night. Redding Fire Department was called at 10:36PM to the single story strip mall. They found fire burning around the front door and window and spreading into the attic. They quickly extinguished the flames. The interior was heavily charged with smoke but fire damage to the contents was minimal. The value of the damage is estimated at $45,000. The cause is under investigation.
