A Red Bluff family lost their home to a fire Tuesday night. The fire apparently started in a detached garage in an alley off Oak Street that runs parallel to Johnson and Lincoln Streets. Flames then spread to the main house and it turned into an inferno before Red Bluff Fire Department was able to bring it under control and prevent it from spreading to other houses. The occupants were able to make it out safely but the house and garage were destroyed.
