Firefighters Extinguish House Fire, Douse Fire At Homeless Camp On Tuesday

Happy Valley firefighters battled a house fire Tuesday morning. There was extensive damage to the Lassen Avenue home following the fire, which was reported shortly after 7:30AM. It took about 30 minutes to gain control of the fire. The cause is under investigation.

A homeless camp went up in flames Tuesday off South Main Street near the Flying A Mobile Home Park in Red Bluff. The Red Bluff Fire Department was assisted shortly before Noon by Cal-Fire units and had the fire contained fairly quickly. Firefighters remained on scene for about an hour of mop-up.
