The U.S. Forest Service is looking to hire a lot of people who want to work in the woods. Recruitment events are being held that will allow applicants to connect with regional fire staff, discuss different jobs that are available and get help with the application process. Many seasonal and permanent wildland firefighter positions are available throughout California on engine crews, hotshot crews, hand crews and more. Anyone with the strength, passion and dedication essential for the job can attend one of two hiring events being held Friday from 10AM to 6PM and Saturday from 10AM to 4PM inside the Shasta College Cafeteria.
