A Cal-Fire Captain charged with child molestation has been ordered to answer to charges involving a third alleged victim. 38-year-old Peter Mock remains out of custody in the long-delayed case following a hearing in January of last year that set his bail at $250,000. Mock was arrested in July of 2022 at the Big Bend Cal-Fire Station and charged with 74 counts of sexual abuse against a child under the age of 14. Two additional juvenile victims have since come forward, bringing the total to 76 child sexual assault related charges. Mock had a court appearance last week and returns to court October 7th, when trial dates should be set. Mock has denied all the accusations against him.
