Former Haven Human CEO Found Guilty In 2nd Embezzlement Case

A man who was convicted of embezzling from Haven Humane Society 15 years ago has been convicted in another embezzlement case. Norman Ray Ryan was found guilty last week for embezzling through his operation of the Patriot Gold and Silver Exchange, LLC in Redding. He’ll be sentenced April 12th. In 2009 Ryan was convicted of grand theft committed while he was the CEO of Haven Humane. Ryan used the organization’s credit card to buy an airline ticket for a personal business trip. He then sought reimbursement of expenses from a trip to Chicago to attend a Humane Society National Conference that apparently did not occur.
