During Monday’s budget hearings in Sacramento, State Senator Brian Dahle says he secured nearly $30 million in CalFire funding for prevention of catastrophic wildfires in the 1st Senate District. That includes $6 million for forest thinning and Dixie Fire rehab near Susanville, $5 million for the Glenn and Tehama Resource Conservation Districts, $1.5 million to improve evacuation routes in Butte County, and $3.5 million for Redding, Shasta Lake City and the Igo-Ono area.
