Firefighters have extinguished a residential structure fire Friday morning in West Cottonwood. Shortly after 6AM Cottonwood Fire with help from Cal-Fire and Anderson Fire were dispatched to 3291 El Camino Drive south of Gas Point Road for a fire burning in the detached garage of a house. The first arriving engine company found the garage fully involved with the house just inches away and nearby exposure to multiple vehicles and a large propane tank. The garage and another outbuilding were destroyed.
