After a three year process involving a number of city staff and input from many city residents, the Redding City Council may adopt an updated General Plan at a special meeting Tuesday. The General Plan will help determine what Redding looks like in 20 or 25 years. It’s a broad, comprehensive, long range guide for future development that’s only updated every 20 years. Public input was sought through a series of sessions around town, and special meetings by the Planning Commission as well. Another chance to comment on the plan will be at the council meeting at 5:30PM on Tuesday, or they can be submitted by email. All the documents involved in hammering together General Plan 2045 can be viewed at cityofredding.gov/generalplan.
