GOP Senate Candidate Steve Garvey Will Stop At KQMS During Trip To The North State

Former Los Angeles Dodger star and current U.S. Senate Candidate Steve Garvey will be in town the next couple of days. Tuesday night Garvey will be at a fundraising reception at Matson Vineyards. Tickets are available for between $100 and $3,300. Tuesday morning Garvey will attend a fundraising breakfast at Becca’s Café in Anderson, and then he’ll be here at KQMS for an interview at 8:30AM. Garvey will then attend a fundraiser luncheon at Mosaic Restaurant at Turtle Bay. Garvey will be visiting some other as sites as well to address some North State concerns. Garvey is running as a Republican for the U.S. Senate against Democrat Adam Schiff. Garvey was a first baseman with the L.A. Dodgers before finishing his baseball career with the San Diego Padres. He was a ten time all-star and a two time M.V.P. He holds the National League record for consecutive games played at 1,207. The current Senate run is Garvey’s first foray into politics.
