Shasta County Supervisor Patrick Jones wants vindication following a Grand Jury investigation targeting him for possible conflict of interest. One of the issues involved Jones taking part in a vote that eliminated development impact fees, which could save Jones Tens of Thousands of Dollars if he builds a large shooting range complex on Millville Plains. He also was present, but did not vote, during discussions about that project. It also was alleged that he should not have been in the room with other supervisors when they discussed a lawsuit against the county for approving the gun range. The Grand Jury decided that the county’s rules were adhered to during the proceedings.
