Only a small amount of smoke is being produced by smoldering and low intensity burning well inside the perimeter of the 19,022 acre Green Fire on the northeast edge of Lake Shasta. The fire has not grown in several days and is now 92% contained. Aircraft with infrared sensors are finding remaining hotspots so ground crews can eliminate them. Most of the work now involves suppression repair. Just over 400 personnel remain assigned to the Green Fire.
