Groundbreaking Held For $36.5 Million “Cascade Village” Project In Shasta Lake

In what’s seen as a possible game changer for the City of Shasta Lake, a groundbreaking was held Tuesday for a $36.5 Million mixed use building project along Shasta Dam Boulevard. That includes a $16.5 Million state grant requiring transit, pedestrian and bike improvements throughout the business district. To be built by K2 Development right next to Clair Engle Park, “Cascade Village” will be 53,000 square feet with 49 income-based apartments and 7,500 square feet of retail space. A different major project is planned by the Win River Hotel Company.
